Boys Bedroom Update

Now that Connor is 4, it was time to update his bed to a twin. We found the Helix Kids Mattress and were thrilled with the quality. It’s so cool because you can flip it depending on whether you want a softer or firmer feel. They recommend the firmer side for ages 3-7 and softer for 8 and up. We also got the waterproof mattress encasement because we all know accidents happen! It zips all the way around and truly protects the mattress (Connor had an accident the first night he slept in the bed and nothing went down to the mattress!).

The mattress is a little pricier (but worth it!!) so we opted for a budget friendly bed frame and bedding set! Connor’s room is small so I went with a daybed to work with his room’s window placements. He’s very into sharks lately and I had whales in his nursery so we stuck with an underwater theme.

We’re loving the space he has now that his rocker his gone and he’s been sleeping so well on his new mattress! I was so worried he would regress with sleep from this change but the comfy mattress has him sleeping better than ever!
